Mystery Spectator
This photograph was taken at a Ticker Tape Parade for the New York Mets who won the World Series Champions in 1986. The parade travels a short distance on Broadway in the financial district of New York City and workers crowd the windows to watch "the heros" and throw streams of paper down onto the street. I call this photograph "Mystery Spectator" because I still can't figure out what's going on with the shadow of the man behind the window. Is it a TV or is a real person? He just seems misplaced and out of proportion with the rest of the people. Wall Street, New York. October 1986.
