Feathery Abstract

The abandoned oil tanks on Deception Island in Antarctica were covered with colorful rust. The rugged weather over many years had taken its toll on these tanks. I wanted to show the softness of these beautiful colors. I shot this photograph at a slow shutter speed and panned my camera during the exposure. Deception Island, Antarctica. February 2013.
