Flowing Tears

This photograph was taken at the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero. The beautiful waterfalls are also quite sad as the water cascades down into a dark abyss; the footprints of the two buildings of the World Trade Center. The way the light highlighted the water reminded me of tears. Perhaps it was my state of mind. New York City, New York. May 2013.
