Infant Elephant
The ears on this tiny elephant are quite large compared to the size of his chest. His left eye appears to be closed or swollen shut. Large or small, they learn at an early age to spread their ears out to the side to look as big as possible in an attempt to keep anything they perceive as threatening at bay. Even so, it's hard not to look at this adorable, little elephant and smile. Kings Pool, Botswana, Africa. May 2012.
