Iceberg Isle
The beauty of this island, the colors of the water and backdrop have the palate of serenity you would find in the tropics. However, the water here is below freezing and not it's not much warmer outside. When friends and colleagues see those photos, they always ask me: "is the water really that blue?” Yes, the water in Antarctica is really this blue. In fact, there are may shades of blue in Antarctica. If I didn't know better, I'd like to lay my towel down on this little island and enjoy the sun. Cierra Cove, Antarctica. February 2013.
